While getting married in the mountains or at the beach has become a common thing for couples, some are going above and beyond to tie the knot in space. A company called Space Perspective is offering couples a chance to get married at the edge of space for a hefty price of $125,000.
The couple that gets married in space will be lifted to about 100,000 feet above Earth and then lowered back down to land. The six-hour journey will have enormous porthole windows, which the company says are “the biggest ever flown into space.” Currently, the wait list is light years long for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity.
Space Perspective was founded by two former Biosphere 2 crew members who have a passion for creating closed ecological systems that can support people during extended space voyages. The company’s first mission is scheduled for 2024.

Typically these types of venues offer rental fees that are lower than traditional banquet facilities but come pretty bare bones in terms of furniture and decor.
